Voluteer Opportunities
The YMCA of Belleville and Quinte is an association
of volunteers and professionals whose purpose is to offer people opportunities
of personal growth and service to others. Volunteers enjoy being a
part of an exciting environment, meeting new friends, gaining valuable
experience, developing leadership and interpersonal skills, sharing
their interests and abilities and most of all - being a Y team player.
The YMCA believes that people enrich their own lives when they enrich
the lives of others. Volunteers are an integral and essential part
of our YMCA mission in action

How
Do I Get Started?
Individuals interested in volunteering are asked to complete a Volunteer
Application Form. You may also pick up a Volunteer Application Form
at the Membership Desk. To ensure the volunteer experience is a rewarding
one for everyone, applicants will be contacted for an interview to
discuss skills, experience, time commitment and training required
for a successful experience.
All YMCA staff and volunteers are asked to provide a current
Criminal Reference Check (CRC). Volunteer opportunities are
open to YMCA members over the age of sixteen. Potential volunteers
under the age of sixteen are accepted if they are currently enrolled
or have completed a YMCA leadership program such as an advanced aquatics
course, Youth Leadership Corps, Babysitters Training, etc.
